New Divisions

Nicholas A. Spidel, April 30, 2014

Spidel Designs is being split into 3 divisions. Spidel Designs: Build, Print, and Game. Each one will function somewhat differently, providing a wide range of services to current and future clients.

Build

Primarily, Build will deal with creating rendered images, animations, and interactive demos of architecture. We are currently in the process of developing an asset library, in house, that will allow us to quickly simulate environments with astonishing realism.

PRINT

Print will deal with creating content such as business cards, pamphlets, graphics for books, logos, bannars, etc. Already we are developing content for clients, and are eager to find and serve more!

Game

Game is our most complex division, dealing with the development of 3D models, animations, fully functional rigs, texture maps and packages, and much much more for our clients in the gaming industry. On top of this SpidelDesigns game will be developing other game projects in house, aside from client work, and will be the center of the creation of our interactive content.

New project ideas

Nicholas A. Spidel, March 12, 2014

Ideas for a small scale indie game project are under development. Members of our team have begun writing, story boarding, drawing out concept art and developing pre-alpha game models! Not much can be said about the game's story at this time unfortunately. What we can say though, is that the story will be based around mystery. It will be played in first person, however there will be little to no combat. Instead it's key game mechanic will be puzzel solving, the descernment of what is truth, and choice making.

In terms of publishment, a release date cannot be set at this time, however we are all very excited about the game here at Spidel Designs and we are eager to provide information in regards to the project!

Our latest texturing work

Nicholas A. Spidel, March 15th, 2014

Thus far we have about 4 texture maps ready for purchase on Turbo Squid. Maps ranging from mossy stones developed from pictures of Mayan ruins in Belize, to very rough sand or dirt textures developed from photographs taken in Colorado! Each map has been perfected by our designers, then inspected by our lead artists, ensuring that we are releasing a quality product! We are excited to continue developing textures to be sold on Turbo Squid, and are always open for suggestions as to what you'd like to see us make next!

Work with Spidel Photography
Nicholas A. Spidel, March 12, 2014

Recently we were contracted by Spidel Photography to create business cards as well as revamp their identity on Facebook as well as on other fronts of their business. The final prints for their business cards just came in, and we sent them the new logo and Facebook banner! We, as well as the team at Spidel Photography could not be more pleased with the results!
